Dawn and I dated each other our Senior year in High School. We went our own ways, and we meet again at the Department of Corrections Computer Operations Center. She worked as a Micro-Computer Repair Technician, and I work as a Main-Frame Computer Operator. Dawn worked the DAY shift, and I worked the MIDNIGHT shift. The first time I saw her at work, I was getting off of a 24 hour shift, and boy was I a grouch to her. She avoided seeing me, but in a small workplace, we talked from time to time. Dawn was hurt at work, and I did not see her again at work. About 13 years later, we met again at Wal-Mart! I went to Wal-Mart to get a gallon of paint. When I was leaving, I saw her sitting on a bench. She was waiting for one of her friends. We talked for awhile. I wanted to get her phone number, but left before I realized that I did not get her number. She called me about a week later. (that is when I found out the her phone number is UNLISTED) I returned her call and we must have talked about 2 hours. We arranged to meet for lunch a week later. We have so much in common, and started to date again!
We were engaged on Election Day 2002. We wanted to have the families involved in the wedding. The brides attendants were: Dawns Mother (Catherine-Maid of Honor), Dawns daughter (Teresa) and Bills daughter (Carrie). Grooms attendants were: Bills son (Scott-Best Man), Bills son (Kim) and Dawns son (Michael). The Minister was: Dr. Smith. Dawn has been a patient and a friend of Dr. Smith for many years and we were so grateful that he would Marry us. Dawn & I looked around and were able to get a room at Tony M's for the February 14th date. The photographer was Bills sister (Tam). The Video photographer was bills friend (Kevin). The music equipment was provided by Bills Son (Kim). The sound engineer was Bills friend (Jeff). Tony M's catered the meal. The ceremony started around 7:05 P.M. After the ceremony, the meal was served. We are proud that about 70 friends and family were in attendance.
